in media is a liberal-only thing?

Seriously. And BTW, he'd been losing weight for a while, said

he'd take up running, for this role is my guess.

He also wore long sideburns for "The Heiress". Because that's what the role called for.

This is going to be an amazing journey!

Following Dan's career is going to be an amazing journey - I am quite sure!
If his new look is for his new film, then that is a very creditable transition, although looking back at photos of him in older films he seems very adept and capable of getting the right look for all his performances.
I am so glad to be able to enjoy the work he has done so far - and hope that I shall be able to see & hear many more!
