I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE TODAY SHOW INTERVIEW WHEN I RETURNED FROM A MUST-DO ERRAND. DAN WAS, AS ALWAYS, A GRACIOUS AND INTELLIGENT GUEST, FIELDING ALL COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS WITH GRACE AND CHARM. LOVE THAT HE IS ENJOYING HIS STAY IN THE STATES, BUT DAN, PLEASE DON'T LOSE YOUR BRITISH ACCENT....AND MANNERS! I WILL BE FRONT ROW CENTER FOR "SUMMER IN FEBRUARY",

Today Show interview on YouTube

Thank you so much!

I had hoped that we would be able to see it here in the UK - thank you for the link.

It's so good to see Dan talking about Summer In February, as well as Downton, and I really hope that the film enjoys an appreciative audience in the USA. It certainly is very special, even though some of the critics have not been too complimentary!

I have seen it several times now, and it is still just as moving and wonderful as it was the first time of viewing. The DVD has extra bonus features including interviews and a brilliant insight into Benjamin Wallfisch's score.

Quick Interview

It was a very quick but enjoyable interview. Happy they didn't harp on Downton for too long. Dan seemed to take it all in good humour. He looked very happy and charming as always. Hope someone posts a video so all can see it. Please go see "Summer in February" if you haven't. Fine, beautiful film!

Cheers!

Agreed!

Happy to see that the interview is available to view on YouTube (see elsewhere on this site for the link)'

Poor Dan, still having to face the inevitable, seemingly endless questions about his departure from Downton. I have to admire him for his patience and good grace.

Summer In February is, indeed, a really beautiful film, and I think that maybe in time it will become a much-loved classic.

HOW GREAT THAT IS!

DAN ON THE TODAY SHOW, AND THE RELEASE OF "SUMMER IN FEBRUARY" HERE, I SHALL BE FRONT AND CENTER FOR EACH! JANUARY IS DEFINITELY LOOKING UP......

Summer in February

We happened to be in Cornwall last September researching the St. Ives Art Colony. Lamorna Cove is breathtakingly beautiful. The hues of the paintings, due to the ever changing sunlight against the mineral rich sand, is a pink-gold. This humble book tells a true story that is romantic yet heartbreaking. We chatted with the new owner of the Lamorna Wink, and they are gutting the inside except for a few stone walls. Glad the movie was made before this tavern turned over owners! Looking forward to enjoying what looks to be an intelligent, sparkling, memorable movie. Bon Chance to Mr. Stevens.

Sad to hear about The Wink but...

Sad to hear that The Wink is undergoing such a major change......and how fortunate that the film was made before the gutting began.
Summer In February is a really beautiful film, I do so hope that you enjoy it. A remarkable story brought to the big screen by a remarkable group of people.

Lovely - I hope it takes off in the States!

Summer in February is such a beautiful film that I'm glad I got it on DVD ahead of time. I hope it even introduces new fans to and reacquaints casual fans with Dan Stevens. Hope they mention dear Matthew only briefly and with fondness if at all. God bless Dan and his family!

Yes, I agree.....

....this beautiful film should be considered on its own merits and I have to say that Dan does a brilliant job portraying Gilbert. An incredibly moving story, the result of many years of determined effort by a committed group of people.

I LOVE this. Thanks for the

I LOVE this. Thanks for the heads up. I was really hoping that someday I would get to see Dan on the TODAY Show. Love him!

Maybe we may get to see the interview in UK...

...if it gets posted on YouTube. Fingers crossed!

Some of us Americans will

Some of us Americans will only be able to see this interview on YouTube, too, if they work in the mornings.

I'll be watching

Fortunate enough to be permitted to work from home one day a week. I will definitely tune in. Wish I had a recorder though....
